Uniform Assessment at Grade VIII

From Academic Year 2017-18

 

The department has decided to make it mandatory for all students of public and private elementary schools of KP to participate in the class VIII assessment from academic year 2017-18. Class VIII assessment for academic year 2017-18 is planned tentatively in February 2018.Final dates will be announced by the respective Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE)/ or any other institution as the case may be.

 

The department has decided to cover only compulsory subjects in the 2018 assessment. Compulsory subjects and their marks are mentioned in the below table and will be based on Students Learning Outcomes (SLOs) from National Curriculum 2006. Test questions will assess Knowledgeas well as its conceptual Understanding/Comprehension and Application in each subject.

In this connection, 1) Table of Specification (ToS), 2) Model Papers and Marking Schemes for 8 compulsory subjects have been uploaded on the websites of BISE. Table below specifies total marks for each compulsory subject for Class VIII assessment 2018
